About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Test Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team, focusing on testing and validating cutting-edge broadband networking solutions. This role involves mid-level responsibilities, including designing, executing, and automating test plans for systems leveraging cloud technologies and big data tools. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical expertise, coding skills, and a passion for ensuring high-quality performance in complex, scalable environments.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for broadband networking systems and cloud-based applications.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.  

• Perform functional, integration, and performance testing on systems involving cloud migration and modern tech stacks.  

• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.  

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.  

• Participate in code reviews and assist in debugging and optimizing test scripts.

Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in broadband networking or telecommunications.  

• Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects and cloud technology stacks, including AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  

• Proficiency in coding/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Bash for test automation.  

• Familiarity with big data tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data visualization tools like Looker.  

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Kibana for log analysis and system performance tracking.  

• Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., pytest, Selenium, or similar).  

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:  

• Exposure to Google’s Gemini or similar AI-driven platforms for testing or analytics.  

• Understanding of broadband networking protocols and technologies (e.g., DOCSIS, PON, or IP networking).  

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab.  

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in using data tools such as Kibana for log analysis, performance monitoring, and creating dashboards to support testing efforts.
