Important Notice: LXI Staffing and Mike Christian will never initiate professional contact
from a Gmail, Hotmail, or Outlook account, and we never charge candidates a fee.
⚠️ Fraud & Impersonation Alert: Protecting Yourself from Recruitment Scams
LXI Staffing will never charge a job seeker for placement, interviewing, or career services.
We have been alerted that malicious actors are using our company name, brand likeness, and the real names of our team members—specifically targeting candidates by impersonating Mike Christian—to run recruitment scams. These fraudsters use public details, LinkedIn links, and photos in their email signatures to look convincing. Their ultimate goal is to steer you toward a paid third-party service for resume rewriting, onboarding tasks, or career marketing. This is a scam.
Platform providers like Google and LinkedIn are highly backlogged and slow to respond to impersonation reports. Because we cannot forcefully shut these bad actors down immediately, your best defense is to simply not engage with them.
🛑 How to Spot the Scam
The Email Address: Fraudulent messages are sent from free, public domains like @gmail.com, @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, or slight misspellings of our name. LXI Staffing never initiates professional contact from public email domains. Genuine emails from our team will only come from an official corporate address ending in _@lxico.com.
The Paywall: The scammers will lead you through an "exciting opportunity" only to eventually demand a fee for external resume improvements or coaching to proceed. Reputable recruiters gladly offer direct feedback to help you succeed—they will never make you pay an outside service just to move forward.
The Action to Take: Do not reply, do not click their links, and do not share any personal details. Simply ignore, block, and delete the messages.
💬 What is Legitimate? (The LinkedIn Exception)
LinkedIn communications are an entirely different story. If you received a blank or un-noted connection request from Mike Christian, it is very likely legitimate.
Why a Blank Invitation? LinkedIn strictly caps the number of introduction characters and personalized notes recruiters can send daily. To bypass these platform throttles, Mike prefers to send a direct invitation to connect first.
Why Reach Out? If Mike sends you a request, it isn't spam. He either enjoyed a recent post of yours, wants to follow your content, or is genuinely interested in your background for an active, real role he is recruiting for (be sure to check his "Featured Posts" section on LinkedIn).
How to Verify: Once you accept the request, a secure and authentic conversation can begin directly in your LinkedIn DMs. If you are a new connection, candidate, or collaborator wishing to reach out, please message Mike through LinkedIn first to safely verify your communication.
If you have read this far and are currently in the job market, please continue exploring our site! We are actively recruiting for real roles with real requirements, and we look forward to safely crossing paths.
